We recommend that you browse through our entire site.  The  information in these pages will clear up many of the huge misconceptions about CrossFit and what it actually is.  CrossFit is "critiqued by many and understood by few."

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program that utilizes constantly varied workouts and functional movements that are executed at high intensity to increase strength, conditioning, and work capacity (the amount of work you can do) across broad time and modal domains (in varying time lengths using different tasks).  CrossFit is universally scalable meaning any of our workouts or movements can be substituted or modified so that anyone from an Olympic athlete to your grandmother can use our program.  We coach you in three steps: safety, consistency, and then intensity.

Click the highlighted words above for a video or article explanation.

CrossFit is NOT P90X, Insanity, a body pump class, or an hour long cardio class.  It is a program designed for you to take the time to learn, progress, master, and pursue excellence in endurance, gymnastic & bodyweight movements, and weightlifting.  We are willing to coach anyone who wants to learn and work hard.  You will not need to attend "other fitness classes" or go to the gym to do chest and bi's if you choose CrossFit, doing so could lead to overtraining.  Doing more is not the answer it is usually the problem.

Ladies, you can't "tone" muscles, there is no such thing.  You can increase muscle size and decrease body fat.  Weighing more doesn't mean you're fat either and having more muscle doesn't mean your bulky.  If you work hard and your nutritional habits are in order you will increase your muscle and lose bodyfat giving you the anatomical shape that you desire...YOU WILL NOT GET BULKY DOING CROSSFIT...WE PROMISE.  Click this link if you are afraid of getting bulky: The fear of "Bulkiness".

All of these women lift HEAVY during the week and ARE NOT BULKY.  Get it?
